Activated on Wrong Domain?
Accidentally activated your license on the wrong Shopify store? Here's what to do.
Understanding the Issue
When you activate your Kenso license, it becomes permanently locked to that store's auto-generated domain. This means:
- The license will only work on that specific store
- You can't simply enter it on a different store
- A domain transfer is needed to switch stores
Common Scenarios
Scenario 1: Activated on a Test Store
You activated on abc123-xy.myshopify.com (test store) but meant to use it on z6txxs-04.myshopify.com (real store).
Scenario 2: Typo in Domain
You entered the wrong domain during activation in the portal.
Scenario 3: Created a New Store
You deleted your old store or created a new one and need the license moved.
How to Transfer Your Domain
Both Pro and Lite customers can transfer their domain themselves directly in the customer portal.
Step-by-Step
- Go to scaled.info/theme/portal and sign in
- Find your license
- Click "Change Domain"
- Enter your new auto-generated domain (must have numbers, like
z6txxs-04.myshopify.com) - Confirm the transfer
The change takes effect immediately.
Transfer Limits
- Kenso Pro: Unlimited domain changes
- Kenso Lite: One free domain change included
Preventing Future Issues
Before activating, double-check:
- ✅ You're on the correct Shopify store
- ✅ You're using the auto-generated domain (has numbers like
z6txxs-04) - ✅ NOT using a custom myshopify domain (like
mystore.myshopify.com) - ✅ The domain is spelled correctly
- ✅ No extra spaces or characters
