License Activation Step-by-Step
Follow these steps to activate your Kenso license and unlock all features.
Before You Start
Make sure you have:
- ✅ Downloaded and installed the theme in Shopify
- ✅ Your license key (from the portal)
- ✅ Your store's auto-generated domain (has numbers, like
z6txxs-04.myshopify.com)
Step 1: Open Theme Customizer
- Go to your Shopify Admin
- Click Online Store → Themes
- Find your Kenso theme
- Click "Customize"
Step 2: Open Theme Settings
- In the theme editor, look at the bottom left
- Click the gear icon (⚙️) for "Theme settings"
- A settings panel will open
Step 3: Find the License Section
- In Theme Settings, scroll to find "License" or "Kenso License"
- Click to expand this section
Step 4: Enter Your License Key
- Find the "License Key" field
- Paste your license key:
XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX - Make sure there are no extra spaces
Step 5: Save and Validate
- Click "Save" (top right corner)
- The theme will validate your license
- If successful, all premium sections will load!
Activation Complete!
Once activated, your license is locked to your store's auto-generated domain. You'll see:
- All premium sections loading
- No more "Setup Required" modal
- Full access to all features
Troubleshooting Activation
"Invalid License Key"
- Double-check you copied the entire key
- Make sure there are no extra spaces
- Verify you're using the correct license from your portal
"License Already Used"
Your license may already be activated on another store. Check:
- Is this the same store you activated before?
- Did you accidentally activate on a test store?
Contact support if you need a reset.
"Domain Mismatch"
This means the license was activated on a different auto-generated domain. You can transfer your domain in the customer portal, or contact support for help.
Changes Not Appearing
- Make sure you clicked "Save"
- Try refreshing the page
- Clear your browser cache
- Check that the license key is still in the field
After Activation
Now you can:
- Configure your colors and branding
- Set up the AI chatbot
- Add products to your product grids
- Enable urgency elements
