Urgency Elements Setup

Urgency elements create FOMO (fear of missing out) and encourage faster purchasing decisions. Kenso includes several urgency features.

Available Urgency Elements

  1. Live Viewer Count - "X people viewing this"
  2. Recent Sales Notifications - Popup showing recent purchases
  3. Countdown Timer - Limited time offer countdown

Enabling Urgency Elements

  1. Go to Theme Settings (gear icon)
  2. Find the "Urgency" section
  3. Toggle each element ON/OFF
  4. Configure settings
  5. Save

Live Viewer Count

Shows how many people are "viewing" the product/page.

Settings

  • Enable/Disable: Toggle visibility
  • Display: Usually shown near the product title

How It Works

Displays a realistic-looking viewer count that creates social proof and urgency.


Recent Sales Notifications

Popup notifications showing recent purchases.

Settings

  • Enable/Disable: Toggle visibility
  • Position: Which corner (bottom-left, bottom-right, etc.)
  • Timing:

- Min delay between popups - Max delay between popups - How long each popup shows - Initial delay before first popup

Example Timing

  • Initial delay: 5 seconds
  • Show duration: 4 seconds
  • Min delay: 8 seconds
  • Max delay: 15 seconds

This creates natural-feeling, random intervals.

Customization

  • Customer name color
  • Popup styling (uses theme colors)
  • Product shown (from your actual products)

Countdown Timer

Create urgency with a time-limited offer.

Settings

  • Enable/Disable: Toggle visibility
  • End Date: When the timer expires
  • Display Location: Urgency bar, product page, etc.

Best Practices

  • Use for real promotions
  • Reset occasionally for new offers
  • Don't let it hit zero and stay there

Urgency Bar

The urgency bar is a banner that can show:

  • Viewer counts
  • Countdown timers
  • Sale announcements

It appears at the top of the page and can be sticky (stays visible while scrolling).


Best Practices

Be Authentic

  • Don't overdo it
  • Make sure numbers feel realistic
  • Update promotions regularly

Balanced Approach

  • Use 1-2 urgency elements, not all at once
  • Too much urgency feels desperate
  • Let elements enhance, not overwhelm

Testing

  • Try different combinations
  • Monitor conversion rates
  • Adjust based on results

Troubleshooting

Elements Not Showing

  1. Check each is enabled
  2. Verify license is active
  3. Clear browser cache
  4. Check specific page settings

Timer Showing Wrong Time

  1. Verify end date is correct
  2. Check timezone settings
  3. Make sure date is in the future

Notifications Too Frequent/Rare

Adjust the timing settings:

  • Increase min delay for fewer popups
  • Decrease max delay for more popups
